According to iSuppli, due to the decline in exports due to the global economic recession, it is expected that China’s exports of major home appliances will decrease by 2.7% in 2009. The total shipment volume of China's major home appliances in 2009 is expected to be 177.5 million units, less than 182.4 million units in 2008. The total shipments represent the market trend of major home appliances such as air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators and microwave ovens.
